Temple of the Deep – A watercolor and ink sketch of the monumental Temple of the Deep installation in Black Rock City, 2025. The design was inspired by the shapes and textures of lava rock found in the Black Rock Desert, giving the structure both a raw, geological strength and an otherworldly presence. Rising from the playa like a stone relic, this piece evokes grounding, endurance, and reflection. Sketched on location as part of my Drawn There series, this artwork captures the elemental power of desert architecture and gathering spaces.
